Grizzled loner Char has spent her life in comfortable isolation as a woodsman. When her sister's guard, an uptight sword-for-hire named Emery, arrives at the cabin, the two women find they have more in common than they realized.
"Heave and Thaw" is a 26 page originally published in Boyish² Volume 2, an international butch4butch manga anthology organized by Natsuo Mutsumi.
